Drinkmix-colistin

Pharmaceutical Form:
Water soluble powder for oral administration.

Composition:
Per g :
Colistin sulphate 5 000 000 IU

Target Animals:
Calves, pigs and poultry.

Indications:
Drinkmix Colistin is indicated in the treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria which are susceptible for colisin, e.g. Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli.

Administration / Dosage:
Drinkmix Colistin should be administered orally, via medicated drinking water for pigs and poultry or via the medicated milk replacer for calves.

Calves: 1 g per 100 kg of body weight, twice daily, to be administered in the milk-replacer, for 3 – 5 days.

Pigs: 1 g per 100 kg of body weight, twice daily, or 200 g per 1000 litres of drinking water, for 3 – 5 days.

Poultry: 100 – 200 g per 1000 litres of drinking water, for 3 – 5 days.

Withdrawal period:
Meat: 1 day
Not for use in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.

Presentation :
500 g tin.

Shelf life: 24 months
Store below 25 oC , avoid freezing, keep container tightly closed.
The medicated drinking water should be administered and used within 24 hours.
